- WOLF, Ror
- Ror Wolf was born in Saalfeld (Thuringia) in 1932 and now lives in Mainz. One of the most interesting writers in Germany, he published his literary debut, Fortsetzung des Berichts [Continuation of the Report], in 1964 and has been awarded many prizes, most recently the 2004 Kassel Literary Prize for grotesque humor by the Brückner-Kühner Foundation. His writing style resembles that of a collage, joining often disparate pieces together, a technique he also uses for creating picture collages. He has used the pseudonym Raoul Tranchirer for his encyclopedic project, which parodies the traditional encyclopedias of the nineteenth century.
