- WEHRLI, Peter
- Peter K. Wehrli, born
in 1939, studied art history in Zurich and Paris. He has worked
for Swiss television since 1965; he edited and contributed to several
anthologies; he has written stories and plays. Most importantly,
however, he has literally traveled the world, and his experiences
have been recorded for the past 37 years (and counting) in the individual
numbers of his tremendous ongoing project, Katalog von Allem
(Catalogue of Everything), published beginning in 1975 in installments
by Edition Theo Ruff in Zurich. In 1999, the Verlag Albrecht Knaus
in Munich published the collected numbers in book form: Katalog
von Allem: 1111 Mummer aus 31 Jahren. This ongoing Katalog
project includes not only translations in several languages but
also the publication of Alles von Allem, a multimedia experience,
that is, book and recording with text, sounds, and pictures of the
performance with the musician Werner Haltinner, published in 1986
by Arche-Verlag in Zurich.
