Dimension2: Contemporary German-Language Literature
ROTH, Gerhard
Gerhard Roth, born in 1942, finished Die Archive des Schweigens [The Archives of Silence], a monumental seven-volume cycle of novels, in 1991. He has been awarded several literary prizes. The story published in Volume 4 Number 2 belongs in the narrative context of his novel Der See [The Lake], (Fischer Verlag, 1995), although it is not part of that novel.
