- Matthias Politycki,
born in Karlsruhe in 1955, studied German literature in Munich and
Vienna, and wrote a dissertation supervised by Wolfgang Müller-Seidel.
He has been a freelance writer since 1990 and currently lives in
Hamburg and Munich. A writer of poems, novels and libretti, he has
established himself with such works as Weiberroman [1997,
Wenches' Novel] and Ein Mann von vierzig Jahren [A Man
of Forty Years], a two-year online project of a novel-in-progress
that was completed in 1999; the book and audio book were published
in 2000.
