Dimension2: Contemporary German-Language Literature

NOSSACK, Hans Erich
Hans Erich Nossack was born in Hamburg in 1901, where he also died in 1977. During the NS-regime, he was not allowed to publish because of his political activities. After 1956, he lived as a freelance author, who also translated British and American literature into German. With his laconic and precise style, he often deals with boundary experiences.
