Dimension2: Contemporary German-Language Literature
MAYRÖCKER, Friederike
Friederike Mayröcker, born in 1924, is one of the major female poets in Austria and of German-language literature in general. She is a prolific writer and has received numerous awards. Her poetry involkes remembrances that present personal and subjective experiences in a surprisingly objective tone. This characteristic of her texts can be seens in the poems printed in Volume 4 Number 2.
