- Christine Lavant (i.e., C. Habernig) was born in 1915 in Groß Edling in the Lavant Valley, Austria, and died in 1973. She led a life that was marked by poverty and illness as well as by her conflict with the Christian values of her environment. As a result of this, she usually expresses desire for belonging in her poetry, just like she does in the poet published in Volume 3, Number 2, »So hat die Einsicht«.
