- KUMAR, Anant
- Anant Kumar
was born in the North Eastern Indian State of Bihar. He learned German
in New Delhi, before he came to Germany in 1991, where he studied
German literature and linguistics at the University of Kassel until
1998. He wrote his Master's thesis on Alfred Döblin. Besides
regular contributions ot literary magazines and periodicals, he is
the author of several books of poetry and prose, including Fremde
Frau—Fremder Mann (Schweinfurt, 1997/2000), Die Inderin
(Schweinfurt, 1999/2000), ...und ein Stück für dich
(Ahlhorn, 2000), and Die uferlosen Geschichten (Schweinfurt,
2003/2004). He travels widely in Europe, India, and the North American
continent for poetry readings and lectures.
