Guy
- Guy Krneta, born in Bern
in 1964, lives in Basel as a freelance writer. He worked as a dramaturge
for several theaters in Germany an das head of theater in Switzerland.
His plays are frequently performed and have won several awards. He
is also animportant Swiss spoken-word author, as evidenced in Im
Kairo, in collaboration with the Spoken-Word-Formation "Bern
ist overall" (Spoken-Word-CD, 2006). In addition, he was an initiator
of the Swiss Literature Institute in Biel, the Swiss center for teaching
creative writing. His recent plays include E Summer lang, Irina,
premiered in 2004, and E Schtau vou Reh, premiered in 2006,
both as the Theater Basel. His 1994 play Ursle (Jackie)
was translated into English; it was also performed in Holland (Hannah)
and in Germany (Ursel).
