- KÖPF, Gerhard
- Gerhard Köpf, born in 1948 is a novelist and playwright who lives in Munich and also teaches German literature at the University of Duisburg. He is the author of several novels, two of which have already appeared in English translation by A. Leslie Willson: There is No Borges (1993) and Papa's Suitcase (1994), Braziller, New York. His novels have been translated into several languages, including Turkish, Spanish, Japanese, and French; and they have won Köpf several awards, including a stipend for the Villa Massimo in Rome, Italy, and the Wilhelm Raabe Prize. The story printed in Volume 3, Number 2 belongs in the context of Köpf's novel Nurmi (Luchterhand, 1996).
