- Radek Knapp
was born in Warsaw in 1964 and has lived in Vienna since 1976. While
studying philosophy, he worked odd jobs. The excerpt in Volume 7,
Number 2/3 is the third chapter of his novel Herrn Kukas Empfehlungen,
a contemporary version of a picaresque novel whose hero-rogue is
innocent and lovable. He
is one of the participants in the "Conversations of German
Immigrants," which was compiled by Maximilian Dorer for German,
Feuer, Lebenslust, publication and is printed in English
in Vol. 9, No. 1/2.
