- Jochen Jung was born
in Frankfurt, Germany in 1942. He studied German literature and
art history in Zurich, Berlin, and Munich. He now lives in Salzburg,
Austria, where he first worked for and then headed Austria's most
important literary publishing house, Residenz Verlag, from 1975
to 2000. In the interview conducted in his Salzburg office on July
4, 1994, and printed in Vol. 3, No. 1, he discusses his background
and that of the Residenz Verlag with a view on the present and to
the future. He now runs his own literary publishing company.
