- Gert Jonke was born in 1946 in Klagenfurt, where he still lives part of hte time. He has been praised as a writer who works a lot but publishes little. he is reportedly working on a major novel. The story 'Stoffgewitter" proves that he pushes toward the limits of what can be said.
