Dimension2: Contemporary German-Language Literature
JOHANSEN, Hanna
Hanna Johansen was born in Bremen in 1939, studied in Marburg and Göttingen and spent two years in teh USA. She now lives in Zürich. Johansen has published several children's books in addition to her novels and collections of short stories. Her narratives often center on the question of what options women have in a male-dominated world; this is the case, for example, in older texts, such as über Den Wunsch, sich wolhzufühlen [1985; On the Wish for Personal Well-Being], as well as in her most recent publication, Kurnovelle [Spa Novella].
