- Franz Hodjak was born
in Romania in 1944. As several of his fellow writers with German
roots did, he decided to leave Romania and live in Germany, where
he arrived in 1992. Hidjak's poems reflect this arrival and experience
ironically, hence the title of the collection: Ankunft Konjunktiv
(Arrival Subjunctive).
