Dimension2: Contemporary German-Language Literature

Kurt Drawert was born in East Germany in 1956 and now lives near Bremen. He has won many awards, most recently the prestigious Ingeborg-Bachmann Award in 1993 and in 1994 the Uwe-Johnson Prize that was awarded for the first time. His latest book is Haus ohne Menschen [1993, House without People], a collection of essays and poems.
