CAVELTY, Gion Mathias
Gion Mathias Cavelty, a young Swiss author, was born in Chur in 1974, where he also grew up. He is studying Italina, Rhaeto-Romanic, and English at the university in Fribourg. His short novel, from which the excerpts in this issue are taken, is called Quifezit after the phrase, "Qui fecit," in Roman-Catholic liturgy; its subtitle means "A Journey in the Violin Case."
