- Michael Krüger
was born in Wittgendorf, Germany, in 1943. He has published poetry
and prose and won several literary awards. He the editor of Akzente
, perhaps Germany's most influential literary magazine. In addition,
he is head of Carl Hanser Publishing in Munich His own literary
works have been published by Residenz Publishing House in Austria.
In the United States his work is also becoming more readily available
because he has found an excellent and dedicated translator in A.
Leslie Willson, whose translations of Krüger's novels The
Man in the Tower and Himmelfarb were published by George
Braziller, Inc. in New York in 1993 and 1994, respectively.
