Dimension2: Contemporary German-Language Literature

GOLL, Claire and Ivan
Claire Goll (born in 1891 and died in 1977) and Ivan Goll (born in 1891 and died in 1950) met for the first time in 1917; in 1919 they moved together to Paris and were married in 1921. Both were close to the Surrealist movement in literature and wrote in French and in German. The collection of poetry from which the poems in Volume 4 Number 2 are taken is subtitled "a love's story" and was first published in French in 1951 and then in German in 1954 with Limes in Wiesbaden. The current copyright owners are Luchterhand/Limes Verlag in Munich and the Fondation Yvan et Claire Goll in France.
